This recently completed landscape design in Buderim is as spectacular as its views yet was very affordable. This was achieved by detailed design in key areas that utilised quality materials that were recycled and sourced locally to reduce costs. The low maintenance design fundamentally embraced the strong natural character of Buderim as it dealt with level change to maximise space and access. This was achieved by the use of height and layering of landscaping to create space and breakdown the sites steep topography that fell more than twenty metres from street level. The design also addressed the resident’s outdoor living expectations as well as their security needs. The highlights of the design were the use of large recycled timber as screens, steps and platforms, raised herb gardens in large recycled concrete pipes, several vertical climber poles up to six meters high holding star jasmine, large natural stone steps connecting the outer spaces and an abundant planting palette of natives, exotics, fruit trees, herbs and a large revegetation area covering the lower slopes.
